As a beginner I’m working on a book database, comprising a table with several book specification fieldnames like e.g. title, author, editor, price, category, publication year etc. 

I would like to include some histograms on e.g. actual number of items per category, items per publication year. FMP help and internet don’t seem to provide distinct information. Unfortunately, many attempts later (using primitive calculation or summary scripts), still without any result…

Can someone provide a solution? Thank you very much in advance!!
