Newbies SJMTEAM Posted October 2, 2007 Newbies Posted October 2, 2007 System: Mac OSX Tiger Filemaker Pro: 6 (upgrade from 5.5) Problem: I had installed about 10 filemakers and only one is giving me problems. This one is not willing to open files remotely due to 'can't find host on network'. So i had checked the 'Filemaker Pro > Preferences > Application' under 'Network Protocol' I should be able to select 'TCP/IP' but it's not listed and the only thing that is listed is ''. I had deleted preferences files, reinstalled under different username administrator, root and etc.. all the posibilites that could alter the network preferences on FileMaker Pro. Thank you.
Delta Tango Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I had this problem for the longest time. We were using 5.5 at our office. I had 2 FM gurus try to fix and they were stumped. As soon as we switched to 8.0 all our problems vanished. It's been almost 2 years with it and we've not had it since.
