System: Mac OSX Tiger

Filemaker Pro: 6 (upgrade from 5.5)

Problem: I had installed about 10 filemakers and only one is giving me problems. This one is not willing to open files remotely due to 'can't find host on network'. So i had checked the 'Filemaker Pro > Preferences > Application' under 'Network Protocol' I should be able to select 'TCP/IP' but it's not listed and the only thing that is listed is ''.

I had deleted preferences files, reinstalled under different username administrator, root and etc.. all the posibilites that could alter the network preferences on FileMaker Pro.

Thank you.

I had this problem for the longest time. We were using 5.5 at our office. I had 2 FM gurus try to fix and they were stumped.

As soon as we switched to 8.0 all our problems vanished. It's been almost 2 years with it and we've not had it since.
