Hi,

We're developing our first PHP app using an existing database on Server 9.03.326. It's generally working well, but for one problem.

The application is a simple form submission built with PHP Assistant. The PHP is running on a separate Web server from the Filemaker server. It's just an addrecord.php-->confirmation.php. Everything seems to be functioning correctly, but intermittently, it returns "Error is Null" in the browser on form submission, with no record making it to the database. Usually, going back to the form in the browser and resubmitting is then successful.

The success rate seems to have improved after I removed all relationships to other files as well as their data source definitions from the database. However, I can't say for sure that's the cause, and I want to be certain before we open it up to our users.

Also, other functions of the database rely on those relationships, but I'm curious if I should, as a general practice, segregate the form data functions into their own database.

Has anyone had a similar problem, or have recommendations for figuring this out?

Thanks so much,

Kelly

I'm testing through my behemoth of a job application form and I'm getting a "Error result is NULL!" error on submission ONLY from Internet Explorer 7. Safari 4 beta (Windows), Firefox 3 (Windows), Safari 3 (Mac) and Firefox 3 (Mac) all work.

Also, I have been heavily tweaking the PHP Site Assistant generated files, so I don't remember if the error message was originally phrased my way (Error result is NULL!) or your way (Error is Null).

Just thought I'd post and let you know you're not the only one getting this error message.
