Newbies HeavyBuild Posted June 2, 2009 Newbies Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Hi, I use filemaker part time and can't solve this one problem. The focus is on using checkboxes to display products in shops. The solution must work in Instant Web Publishing. If you can do it for me I can pay $100 using Paypal. There are two files attached which should explain all. First one to provide the solution gets the loot. You can contact me on [email protected] Retailers_Reduced.zip Instructions_for_checkbox_addition..txt Edited June 2, 2009 by Guest I added that the solution must work in Instant Web Publishing
Ocean West Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Hello welcome to the forums This uses a custom function and and custom formatting, I recommend keeping the portal so that you can scroll the portal should the items extend beyond the the space intended. comment Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I understood the requirements in a different way: Retailers_Modified.fp7.zip
Vaughan Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I like that comment, a nice variation of the selection portal with a tick to indicate when an item is selected.
sky Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I too like 'comment's solution, but have made a slight alteration, so that for each type of shop the product list just shows the products that are possible to be stocked by that type of shop.... Shops and products are allocated 'shop type id' using popup menu... cheers, Sky. Retailers_Modified_sky.zip
Newbies HeavyBuild Posted June 2, 2009 Author Newbies Posted June 2, 2009 Hi Comment, Thanks for your solution. It works fine except that the portal shows all the products rather than only the products stocked in that shop. Sky in a later post to this thread solves this. I have made a boo boo with the specs. I should of added that the solution must work in instant web publishing. I am sorry about tagging this on later, it's an oversight, but it's an essential part of the solution. Can you get it to work? I greatly appreciate your effort.
comment Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I'm afraid I am not familiar enough with IWP to make it a quick fix.
