March 19, 201015 yr Newbies I have a client that wants to continue using Filemaker 5 until Charlton Heston's ghost pulls it at gunpoint from their cold dead fingers. They're currently running it on Windows Server 2000 and need to upgrade to Windows Server 2008. Anyone doing so? Any problems? Thanks. Nick
March 20, 201015 yr No idea, but the best chance would be to run it on 32 bit Windows and not 64 bit.
April 26, 201015 yr Newbies extramsg, how did this turn out? We have the same issue -- our IT department wants to upgrade the server OS to Windows 2008, but we are stuck on FMS 5.5 for at least another year. Did you ever make this work, or discover definitively that it doesn't?
April 26, 201015 yr Author Newbies Haven't tested it yet. Don't currently have 2008, though I'll be ordering it soon. I suspect it will work fine as long as it's 32 bit. And if it doesn't, I'll just put the ******* thing on a workstation and call it good.
