This topic has been moved from "FileMaker Product FamilyFileMaker Pro 11" to "Database Schema & Business LogicCalculation Engine (Define Fields)".

Hi moj,

Global Fields are not unique to FileMaker Pro 11

The General topic areas are intended for the discussion of the functions, features and tools that were new with the particular version mentioned.

All how-to question should be posted to a topic area that best matches the sprit of the problem. Many questions can fit into more then one area, but you only need to pick one, and go with it.

If you have any questions about this action, please contact me through a private message.

If you want an appropriate answer to your question you need to provide a lot more information. Your question is like asking "How long is a piece of string?"

Describe exactly what you want to do and how your file is set up.

Thank you,

How I can use in invoice table?

This question is too vague IMHO!

globals are used for various things, but the main objective it that it is available to your entire system; ie; it can be

accessed from multiple layouts ,etc

you can use in an invoice table by creating a field called g_Status ( make it global in your settings )

in a script you can say

If ( g_Status = "Paid" ; Do something )

else if

( g_Status = "Billed" ; Do something else )

else

(g_Status = "Overdue" ; do something else)

end if

-- This is all i can think of based on what you have asked.

What database?

If you tried to attach a file, it didn't make it. The process is rather easy, if you follow these steps.

Step 1

Find the file on your hard drive, and zip it.

Step 2

Do not use the Quick Reply, BUT instead, choose the More Reply Option

Step 3

Click on Attached Files and this will take you to your hard drive to locate your file that you want to attach and that you previously zipped. Select the file, and then click Attach This File, and then click Add Reply.

If you should have a problem write me a private message.
