The module is unavailable because it is locked by another session

Featured Replies

Filemaker Server 13v2 been running fine for about a week.  Just changed the digital certificate from the default one to one I ordered from a CA.  Seemed to go in OK using the fmsadmin command, but it seemed to need a server reboot to be accepted and served to browsers (which it now is).

However, since then, I am locked out of the "General Settings" page in the Admin Console (other parts of Admin Console are accessible normally).  Message is :

I think this might be a false lock, and to do with the way it was shut down, but I had a good look around and couldn't find anything except this:

/Library/FileMaker Server/HTTPServer/logs/accept.lock.240

which I don't think is the file causing the trouble?  Although the time of creation is about right.

Update - I don't think this was connected with the reboot, but to me having the server admin console open twice in two different tabs - a stupid thing to do I know, we live and learn.  Still need to clear the lock though

Ok. The issue was I'd left the FileMaker Server 13 Admin Console open on a computer at a different location. Many other products' web-based admin control panels time out after a certain period of inactivity, but apparently FileMaker Server 13 web control panel does not. So always remember to logout when done!
