Perform applescript - error

Featured Replies

Hello,

This program works with other script but for this one I am getting errors.

I am trying to get the value of a field "EventNo" from the called Preference Table. The next step will be to copy the value into a plist file. First image is the Perform script calling the applescript along with the layout of the table being called. The next picture is the applescript program along with the errors I am getting.

Would someone have an idea why I am having those errors.

With regards!

Thanks!

I cannot reproduce the problem using your description. See if the attached file works for you.

Hello Comment,

Yours work without any problems.

I've recreated the script and still have the issue. I've copied your applescript into mine and I still have the issue.

This is really bizarre. I do not know of other ways to perform this simple request.

As a last attempt, I will close FileMaker Pro and will restart my computer. During that I will cross my fingers.

Thanks your help is greatly appreciaited.

No luck, it still does not work.

Here is a guess:

The field EventNo is not actually present on your layout. You have only added it to Table view using the Modify Table View dialog.

Hello Comment, you got it right.

This is exactly it, I've added EventNo to the Table view using the Modify Table View dialog. How did you made that guess?

I'm very pleased, it now works. I would had never figure that one out without your help.

Many thanks!
