What is the best way to require a user to enter todays date or into the future within 90 days when entering a date field?

 

A couple of different ways.  You can roll it into the scripted workflow if you have one.  Or you can use the OnValidate trigger. Or you can use the "validation by calculation" option on the field definition itself.
