I have a database containing lot of names and titles, and sometimes the users type in names but leave spaces at the end of sentences.

 

Is there a way to show invisible characters? Or a way to find spaces at the end of a text field?

just to show them- a bit like turn on invisibles in Word.  I'd like to be able to spot them so I can decide if they need to be removed.

There is no such feature in Filemaker. In theory, you could substitute the spaces with another character - but that may have some undesirable side-effects, e.g. unnecessary modification of the record.

Alternatively, you could display them in a calculation field or in a web viewer, but then you wouldn't be able to edit them (at least not easily, in case of a web viewer).
