Hi guys,

I am having the same problem. I would like to share a filemaker pro 7 database. I have tried the suggestions above. I guess I need to access the database from a client through the "Open Remote" dialog box in the "File" menu. All I get is the name of the "Host" computer with its IP address, when clicked nothing shows up.

Any ideas?

P.S. Sorry about the double post. I have the database file in the "Public" folder.

Hi all,

What ports does Filemaker use (either by default/ otherwise) for access over a network? I think my problem was that the firewall was blocking communication.
