Summury and body part splitted on 2 pages

Featured Replies

I have tried everything possible in my knowledge, I red a lot of manuals but the problem is still there. You can see it from the enclosed PDF. Sorry is in Italian language, hope it can be clear anyway.

This is an invoice, the problem stands on the bottom of the page. The Blue and Gray stripe shouldn’t be there but on the next page, but it doesn’t.

This stripe is placed in a “Summary when sorted by” part and represent the title of all the subsequent lines that are on the "Body" part. As you can understand the stripe lose its meanings (title) if it is separated from the lines below.

Would be enough for me, to have also one line of the "Body" part, that now is in the second page, below the "blue/gray" stripe. If that is not possible, I would like to move all the Blue/Gray stripe on second page, doesn't matter if a white empty space will remain on the first page.

Is there anybody that have a solution or trick about this matter?

Thanks

Mauro

Ciao

perchè il CONTRIBUTO CONAI ASSOLTO si sposta da sinistra a destra ?

quali sono le sezioni ?

il riassunto parziale è iniziale ?

Hi Danielle,

What does this mean in English. :hair:

Lee

lol. }:(

Well freetranlation.com has it as:

Hello

Why the CONTRIBUTION CONAI ACQUITTED it is moved from political left to the right?

That they are the sections?

The partial summary is initial?

google translator has it as:

Hello why ACQUITTED CONTRIBUTION CONAI is moved from left to right? which are the sections? the partial reassumed one is begins them?

So if you put them together I guess its:

Hello

Why did CONTRIBUTION CONAI ACQUITTED move from left to the right?

Which are the sections?

Is the partial summary initial?

Hello Everybody

I did not think to generate such a big discussion on the Italian language. Daniele asked me "Why the text CONTRIBUTO CONAI ASSOLTO (wich means nothing for my question, it is only a text as the name of the company is) moved from left side to the right side of the page?"

I don't understand this question, because that line of text, always been there (on the right of the page) and never been on the left side.

The interesting question is about the layout parts ("sezioni" in Italian language).

To give you more details, here enclosed you will find a screen shot of the layout parts.

The discussion is:

Is there anybody that has an idea on how I can print the 2 sub summary parts together the body part on the same page and not splitted on 2 pages. See my first post.

Thanks

Mauro

We were discussing this problem very recently here:

http://www.fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/7420/

However, the solution proposed there might be difficult to implement with your current graphic design (esp. the round corners).

In the PDF attached to your first post, the text "CONTRIBUTO CONAI ASSOLTO" is moved to the left on the first page of the invoice. Note also that the relative positions of the logo vs. InvoiceNumber and date are different on each page. This may be important, because in your case you have another alternative:

Since an invoice, I suppose, will rarely run over 2 or 3 pages, and since your parts have constant heights - or at least could have constant heights if you fix the header problem and move to print from the real body instead of from a portal - you could run a script before printing to calculate if this problem occurs, and if so, put some content in a sliding field of the last record in a group, to make it taller. This would push the sub-summary to the next page. See these two threads for a start:

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am sorry buit I have sent a wrong image, I am always too busy and having really short time to write.

Here enclosed the right image.

As you can see, I use a Title Header, only for the first page, because I want that the address fits the envelop window.

The customer wants to repeat the heading on all the pages and I used a smaller header part for all the other pages.

The logo it's same dimension only the fields are smaller.

I watched again the PDF file but I did not see, as you said that the invoice number and date are different on each page. They are the same and they must be the same on each page

About the number of the pages of the invoice, it depends on what the customer needs to write, usualy this invoice contain often about 20 to 30 pages.

As I said, I do not have time to open the links now, I will do it in the evening.

I red that you said something about round corners, if they are a problem , I can change them.

I'll try your suggestion and let you know about

Many thanks

Mauro

I didn't say the invoice number and date are different on each page - I said their POSITION, relative to the logo, is different. This is now explained by the title header (and so is the matter of the text being moved to the left).

If your invoices are that long, I think you can forget about the alternatives - but definitely do read the first linked thread.

The recommendation to print directly from the line items table still stands.
