Replacement for Entourage OS X / PC

We are looking for a Filemaker solution that will let us send and receive email. Sort the email. Archive eMail (but unlike Entourage it probably won;t be a problem for FileMaker). Store or file attachments on HD folder structure...

We then want to be able to also have simple functions like Entourage: Sort, Contacts, Groups, Projects .. etc

Anyone know of an existing FileMaker solution that can do this?

Maybe List/Group email too?

We just want an application that doesn't become as unstable as Entourage as it grows!

I don't know any Filemaker based applications that will act as a replacement to Entourage, but take a look at Dacons mail.it plugin which has some good sample files which could get you started.

As for Entourage, whenever I have problems I simply backup and compact the database, seems to sort it out. I know others have had problems but I find it pretty reliable.

Hi Matt,

Entourage in v10 was unstable after a 2GB database, then in v11 they said 4GB.

My clients (a few) have almost 8GB! and I don't want to be a barrier 'pioneer' if the whole lot corrupts (backups or not, it' a limit).

At 30,000+ emails (and they DO need to keep them all in their business) I can't help but feel it's time for disaster, glum & foreboding I know!

I could write my solution in FM but I'd like a buddy or software/plugin company to chat with along this long road...

Cheers,
