Hi Guys,

I have a container field, which contains image references. Is there anyone out there that knows how I can create a rotating banner in flash which display these images from the container field.

Thanks

Jalz

If they are image references, then why bother even with the container field if you are going to use Flash?

Its part of a cms system im prototyping.Thhe user will end up pickingimages for the header, which will in turn rotate on a php front end.

There are a few ways, the easiest probably is to export the images to the temp folder (you can get that path by using a filemaker calculation). Then reference the pictures in flash.

Hi Jeff,

Thankyou for your suggestion. The images are already in a folder, all filemaker holds is a container field which references the image.

Is there any examples out there that you know of where I can take a quick look "under" the hood?

Cheers

Jalz

I just have one question first. How is the user interacting with the database? are you using web publishing or a filemaker interface?

Hi Jeff,

The user is interacting using a web browser.

Thanks

Jalz

ok then there are a few ways to go.

http://www.isolutions-inc.com/ you can check out this page, as it has lots of information, to communicate flash and filemaker server.

There are also a few different ways to talk to flash, one is you can pass parameters through the URL.

The other way is to use javascript to execute a flash function using flash's API.
