Newbies bassler Posted July 9, 2008 Newbies Posted July 9, 2008 I have a database of customers and their contact/mailing information and order history. I am searching for a way to create a file that will keep track of the qty on hand of specific items I have in stock and then update the count as I sell things. Right now, when I sell an item, the product data that goes into the Description field after I select a model number is derived from a calculated field. I would prefer to keep a clean Products database and keep the initial count managed there. Is there a good starter kit I can use other that the hard-to-customize BPK from Filemaker?
jrr316 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Once you have your Products Table, all you are going to need is a join table between the two. I made a very crude modification to the BPK: http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/184927/ At least enough to steer you in the right direction.
