FM Forums have previously helped me with picture problems (Vaughn and others - thanks)

I have been imbedding photos in our FM4 DB of properties for sale. the file had increased to the magic 2gb and would take no more. I then spent some time and finally found out how to hold only references to the pictures rather than the imbedded photo (Yes I know i am a slow learner!)

So now the file has dropped from 2 gb to 30mb - Great.

However in the process of putting the photos in (Fileimport export import picturestore only reference to the file) I have stuffed up some where as instead of the db increasing only a few k for every 20 - 30 pictures it suddenly jumped from 30 mb to 90 mb.

Obviously in the process of importing and linking several hunderd photos I missed setting the check box "store only referenc to file" (it defaults to imbed rather than link) and have accidently imported the whole photo in some cases.

Is there any way I can find out the problem records in question so I can go back and store only the link rather than the photo for these? - I don't seem to be able to search and find where a photo is imbedded rather than only linked - suggestions appreciated.

Make a copy of your database and move it to a system where the photo's that are referenced no longer reside. When you open your database the only pictures remaining are the ones you need hunt down, and wip them in shape..
