Need to get Filemaker Server 5.5 Can you help?

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone here could help.

I'm a teacher and have been using a Mac Quicsilver running FileMaker Server 5.5.  My school district had a fire and lost their cache of software, but I still had the Mac.  Unfortunately, the hard drive just went out and I'm unable to get it mounted to copy anything off of it...it's shot.

I'm trying to find a copy of FileMaker Server 5.5 so I can get my database back online for my fellow music teachers to use for a music competition in early February.

I was wondering if anyone here would have a copy available they're not using or could point me in the direction of someone who might have it cheap.  Upgrading to the newer versions just isn't possible.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

thanks for your time

You could, at a pinch, use a standard copy of FMP client instead of FMS to host the databases, up to 10 concurrent users IIRC.

Thanks for the tip...I'd forgotten about that feature.

However, a question I can't find an answer to on the web.

I know there is a 10 person limit, but is that a 10 person limit per day, like after 10 people use it, nobody can access/use it again until the next day OR is it a 10 people can access it at the same time limit?

The limit is 10 simultaneous users
