Not enough information: how many active network cards in that machine?  (Wired and wireless)

I'm running MAC os X 10.9 via Ethernet. Theres one Ethernet card and one wireless card (I have the wireless off). I did switch the computer over to wireless to test something and I'm pretty sure that's where it picked up the descrepency in the ip address. Isn't there a way to manually set the web server address?
