What's the Up side to the new graphics engine?

I know the fuzy fonts are a result of the new vector graphics engine in FM7. I may be able to live with it a little easier if I understood what that new engine was doing for me.

What I want to hear is now I don't have to try to make graphics exclusively with FMP or Claris Works in order to have the most "optimized" graphic to push across networks.

So what's the benefit of the new graphcis engine that causes our fonts to go fuzzy and all those reuslting headaches and eye strain?
