Newbies redbuffalo Posted April 8, 2004 Newbies Posted April 8, 2004 I have a Microsoft Word X data merge document that was previously linked to a FileMaker Pro 6 data file via Word's FileMaker Import Wizard. After converting the FM 6 file to FM 7 format, Word no longer recognizes the FileMaker Pro data file. Is this due to an incompatibility between Word's FM Import Wizard and FM 7 files, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks. FileMaker Version: 7 Platform: Mac OS X Panther
Reed Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 I would guess since there has been no update to Office since FM7, that Office can't recognize the new file format. Maybe office 2004?
Newbies jrollins Posted April 25, 2004 Newbies Posted April 25, 2004 I'm having exactly the same problem and been unable to find an update on the Microsoft Support site. Is there a way to save an FM7 file as an FM6 file so Word will recognize it?
Newbies AC8HK Posted April 29, 2004 Newbies Posted April 29, 2004 I guess Microsoft will hold out until Office 2004 (OSX) is released.
Newbies AC8HK Posted May 19, 2004 Newbies Posted May 19, 2004 Bad news - Office 2004 Word doesn't work with FM Pro 7, I just tried the demo of Office 2004 with FM Pro 7 and it's a no go
JSRunnels Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Anyone been able to get this to work yet...?
