May 7, 200421 yr I've gone back to modify some folder tab images in Photoshop for my website. These images were created months before I installed FileMaker 7. Like an idiot, I rasterized all the text, so now I have to re-create it to make the changes. The font was 10pt Verdana, but I'm unable to match the anti-aliasing of the existing text. Each setting in the new text (sharp, crisp, strong, smooth) is much more dramatic than the anti-aliasing of the existing text. The anti-aliasing steps actually resemble those of FileMaker's, in that each step just gets darker and more illegible. Though I highly doubt it, these different levels of anti-aliasing may be exactly how they were before. What is absolutely undeniable is that I can't match the subtle smoothness of text I had previously created. Has the FM anti-aliasing engine actually replaced some engine that other applications use? I will try uninstalling Photoshop and/or FM 7 to see if I have any different results, but I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this.
May 7, 200421 yr People on Macintouch are saying that they THINK FMP7 is not compatible with Postscript fonts. But they apparently have not been able to find out definitely. --Tripod
