I have just noticed that users cannot scoll a field using the scrollbars when you make the field a read only field.

Am I right and if so does any one know how to get round this as I have several fields that require scrolling but which I do not want users to have write access

You can setup limited access to this field using custom privileges.

Use custom record privileges, select the correct table, select limited... under field access and set it to view only.

This will allow entry into the field but not modification.
