demo installation problems under macosx

Hi all:

The filemaker 7 trial for macosx doesn't install on my system. The installer stops with the error:

"An error occured while reading the installer data. This installer appearsto be damaged.

1009:5, -43 File not found"

I already did the obvious thing to do, which is download again, to no avail: the same error.

My system is Macosx 10.3.3 on a G3 ibook with 576MB RAM.

is this a known issue? Is there a fix for it?

Thanks,

Paulo

I have exactly the same problem to install soft with Mindvision Vise Installer (TechTool, Photoshop, Zinio, etc). The trouble appears, it seams, after a partition initialisation (sorry, my english is not good !) in an another format than HFS+ (it was to install Linux on a partition).

I haven't the solution and TechTool neither.

I have maybe the solution :

open the Terminal application and write this :

sudo mv /Library /Library2

sudo mkdir /Library

try to launch the installer. then you need to logout and login. open the terminal and type :

sudo rm -R /Library

sudo mv /Library2 /Library

then logout/login and try to launch the installer
