I am a New to Filemaker and am trying to set up a database for my small company accounts to mainly manage client details - job details - invoicing and accounting reports. Trying to build something along the lines of MYOB accounting but a little less complicated.

I would like to know how I can create a layout with tabs across the top so I can store related information over the course of a few screen rather than all on one screen as it starts to get a bit cluttered.

I hope this makes sense - If anyone can offer any advise on this I would appreciate it. I am working my way though most things using the help function but can't seem to find anything about this.

Thanks in advance, Diane

A "tab" is just a button, with the bottom line obsured on the "active" tab so that it blends in with the line across the bottom of all the tabs.

The button action could be as simple as Go To Layout [""].

You can use FileMaker's button tool for the tabs, rounded edges, with a small rectangle of the fill color to obscure the bottom line. Or you can use graphics from elsewhere.
