Newbies Kruno Posted May 31, 2004 Newbies Posted May 31, 2004 I'm trying to import FileMaker database into Microsoft Access (using ODBC driver DataDirect SequeLink 5.4). But all records with ANY numeric field with decimal number - are non-readable by Access (showing message as 'truncated data by decimal value data'). Altough I have reduced (rounded) original decimal numbers to just two digits (X.XX). Please if anybody knows what to do.
Newbies TrainingDay Posted June 4, 2004 Newbies Posted June 4, 2004 You need this plug-in from here (www....profdata.nl)
Michael Myett Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 You shouldn't be having any problems, I have done this sucessfuly using both linked tables and a direct ODBC import, without any problems. The DataDirect SequeLink 5.4 ODBC driver is fairly basic and its functionality may be enhanced by the use of some outside second party source, but a plug-in is certainly not required to do what your asking. I am running WinXP, FMP7 and MSOfficeXP. Please post some more details regarding your procedure, or even attach a striped-down copy of your FM file. I'm sure this can be worked out. Best regards,
