Hi!

I have a table with products and one with orders. Orders are registered in a portal and there are several lookup fields. Can I prevent the user permanently from performing a re lookup?

Ideas are welcome!

I usually hide all menus and disable keyboard short cuts with SecureFM from NMCI. I also use record locking to prevent modification of any data in a record. I normally do that as part of the print script.

Thanks for the input.

The user must be able to manually edit everything in the order table. But changes in the product catalog mustn't effect already placed orders. The customer wont pay for 3:rd party software.

Record locking is part of FMP since 5.5. I have deloper's license for SecureFM. Cost can be sread over all customers. I don't think I would release a database without it.
