I am not a professional developer but working on simple project for my company in China. FM7 is working well with Chinese in data input, edit box and label. But when I create reports or use field other than edit box, the display of chinese character will turn to retangles... sometimes, part of the data is ok but another part is not...

can anyone help?

I becomes addicted to working on Filemaker even it is not my major job area!!

I solved my own problem now.

Although my English version win xp can display chinese, it somehow does not make it works here completely in filemaker, while my file is ported to an completely chinese win xp system the problem goes away...

so looks like you are having some font issues. in filemaker 6 you had to use a font called songti on windows and a font called beijing on apple to make sure chinese characters would display correctly on both platforms. in filemaker 7 this shouldnt be an issue anymore though, as it claims to be unicode.
