Trying out the trial version to see if I can replace Paradox.

I am trying to use a calc field to combine Last name first name.

If I do a calc field with just one field (either one) it produces a result.

If I try

Lname+", "+Fname

I get either a blank result or a "0" (even tho it says text field). This should be simple shouldn't it? What am I missing?

If you are using "+" instead of "&", you will get a bad result. Use "&" to concatenate text.
