Hi, I installed FM7 trial on my laptop. The computer in my office has FM5.5. I need to open the fp7 file in FM5.5. I did not find the "save as fp5" option in FM7. Does anyone know how to save fp7 file as fp5? Thanks.

You can convert .fm5 files to fm7 but you can not go the other way. You can export the data to a text file and import it in into an .fm5 database.

You can't save FP5 files out of FM7, because the database structure is different.

However, what you can do, is export the data and field definition as XML (e.g. in the FMPXMLRESULT grammar) and open it again in FM 5.5 (drop the XML on the FM 5.5 icon). But you will loose your layouts and scripts.
