help printing labels from a database where...

the database has 6 fields and i want to print 3 fields on 1 label and 3 fields on the label in the next column for a total of 4 label columns per page. i can browse the layout the way i want it to print, as a list, but it only prints from the 1st and 3rd columns. i think the problem is in the way i am setting up the layout mode.

I am trying to re-organize slide information in filemakerpro7 and print info on 2 labels per slide, 3 fields on each label for a total of 6 fields per slide.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm perhaps a tiny bit confused by your description, but it sounds to me as though you want two columns in the layout, but four columns of fields--does that make sense? In one layout column, you set up three fields, have a small imaginary-column space between them, and then do the same in the an "imaginary" column next to it. In the second layout column, you do the same. The height would of course be the same all the way across. That way FM will let all six fields into two "imaginary columns" to get all fields from the record. FM sees two columns, but you see four.

Hope that helps,

Galen
