Hey guys, I have used FM5.5 in the past, but very, very limited stuff. If you look at the FM7 Inventory template you can see a tab at the bottom that says Acquired Info, what I want to do is add another tab to the right of that that says Resale Info and another to the right with Installation Info. Each tab will have it's own information pertaining to the product such as MSRP and some end-user related notes under Resale Info and a product list ( installation accessories, X Recommended X Required) with links to those Inventory items as well as installation notes under the Installation Info tab. I really need to pick up a book on FM ( any suggestions? ) but in the mean time, if someone can guide me through this I would greatly appreciate it. What I'm thinking is that each one of these tabs needs it's on DB? placed within the Inventory DB window?

Use the existing inventory layout as a template. Duplicate it for the other two tabs and change the tab graphics (the key to tab layouts is using a different colored tab for the current page, so people know where they are.) You may want to add navigation scripts to those tab buttons instead of just defining the button to Go to Layout[].

In general, if the new layout just has single fields (no portals), then the fields will probably be defined in the Inventory table. If you need a portal of related data, then those fields will probably be defined in an additional table.

If you can give more info about the kind of inventory you are tracking (mechandise, fixed assets, computers, parts, etc.) we can be more specific about the structure.
