Hi guys,

I have got a database with 4700 records in it and I have added a new field. I do not want it to be a calculation field but I want it to have a set result in all previous records.

I want the value of the field to = 1

at the moment it has nothing in there

I have tried a FIND & REPLACE looking for "" and also without the exclaimation marks, to replace with 1 - current field only, all directions - REPLACE ALL

It just goes through the whole database but replaces nothing with nothing

Does anyone know a way of replacing a blank field with something in an entire database?

thanks
