Hi Everybody,

i hvae had a good look around before posting this and am starting to think it my impossible!

my situation, i am developing a database to put quotes into;

the user / quoter needs to be able to the email that quote directly to the client.

the setup is currently running on OS 10.3 (eventually running on a cheap windows box) all clients connecting via web sharing.

is their a way possible to export the files as a html/pdf/doc ect and put directly into outlook express.

thanks,

Neil

script the following

copy quote number

go to layout [printed quote]

print (select Acrobat Distiller or Apple distiller)

send email - field To: contactEmail

when it asks for a filename for the filename, simply CTRL V (PC) or TILDE V (Mac) to paste in the Quote number. Once it has created the PDF, the script will then open up a NEW Email window (using your chosen email application) and put in the To field an email address which is in a field already in your database as a part of the quote. This should be looked up from the client database when you begin the quote or manually entered. Then, click on attach and CTRL V (PC) or TILDE V (Mac) in the filename window and hit enter. That way, you haven't had to search for your attachment because all your quotes are located in the same folder on the server or local machine and it is based upon the Quote number all the way.

I hope this helps
