i just discovered that i was trying to put up an image of size 600 KB, and it will never show in IWP. or is it nothing new?

p.s. if u use reference to stored file.. the image won't show at all, not even the "image not found" icon

ok... it's a mistake to say it won't show large image files... it should be that if the image contains meta data of some sort or something... then filemaker won't show it.

after i converted the .jpg to .bmp, discarding all meta data, the image finally shows...

UPDATE: the problem isnt entirely the meta data ....

somehow in my new experiment... FileMaker just dont like certain arrangements of pictures... and refuse to display correctly if arranged in some way.

and after it's arranged to a way that it doesn't like, it will never display correctly again...

LAST UPDATE: The problem is with the layout name...

if the layout name contains some characters that FileMaker doesn't accept in IWP, the images on that layout will not display correctly.

on the other hand... if one uses Filemaker network, everything is fine. Seems like there is some character translation problem with IWP.
