I am new to filemaker and strugle a little bit with some operations i would like to perform. i want to make a phone log, that is conceted with a customer table. the phone log table consist of the fields: name, caller_phone, message, date, call_for. Now when I'm on the phone I would like to be able to enter the first characters of the caller's name into the "name" field and the database retrieves a list with names from the customer table starting with those characters from which i can choose. Once i chose, the same thing happens with the phone log's "caller_phone" field. There's a list with all the number being stored in that specific users profile.

is this possible at all to create a list on the fly while typing in a field or do i always have to press enter in order to perform a search?

I hope anybody can help me with this.
