kbata Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I just installed the developer version of FMP Advanced. Now when I try to open a file located on our FMP 7 Server I get the message "THe maximum number of licensed users are currently using this copy of FileMaker Pro. Please refer to the license key section of your software documentation for further instructions. I don't have the server version running on this computer. Our server is running on win 2000. If I turn on my server advanced copy on this computer I can run the files. If I run local files it runs fine. I really wish FM had some kind of support. The knowledge base has almost no information. I hate calling and paying for help to work around Filemaker bugs.
Deep Thought II Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 when u get this message box, it means that on the Filemaker host, there is someone using the same license key as urs. thus generating a license key conflict. apparently two users using the same license key cannot access a shared database, as soon as u open it, it exits FM immediately.
