October 18, 200421 yr I designed a little system that uses looping scripts to achieve some of it's tasks. I don't want to use the system while Filemaker is doing it's thing, and I'd rather not dedicate an entire machine just to these looping scripts. The source file is hosted on a machine running Filemaker Server. I was wondering if there would be any problem with running 2 copies of FMPro7 on the same machine under different user accounts ? One for general use of the file and the other just for the scripts. If that wouldn't be a problem, would I want to make a copy of the Filemaker Pro 7 folder and run that copy of FMPro 7 on the other user account ?
October 18, 200421 yr - you need a multi-user license. No network connection with 2 copies of FileMaker running same serial number. - have not tested using 2 x FileMaker client with same IP addres. try it, probably won't work.
