Has anyone else noticed a small circle appearing at the top left of the layout when you insert a GIF file onto the layout. The circle disappears when moving to a layout without the GIF or when you restart the solution!! Is there a fix for this?

I'm not seeing this. Dev 7, 10.3.4. Inserting GIF directly on layout. I do see artifacts from time to time in Layout mode, which usually disappear immediately upon switching to Browse mode. Have you upgraded to 7.0v3?
