mattlight Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 is there anyway of stopping a startup script from working before loading the database? I must be soooo stoopid - I created a new window in a startup script and noticed that under it there was another window there. So, I modified the script to delete the window FIRST before it creates a new window. Closing the window closes the database - I can't get in!! Help!!! What a perfect example of muippetry! Any ideas?
Fenton Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Create another file, with the same master password. Create a script in it that calls one of the scripts in the Opener file, like a Go to Layout script or something. I thought for a while that you had to call one which had "Halt Script" in it. But it seems that you don't. You have to go up to the Window menu, and Show, unless the other window has been selected by the script.
mattlight Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 can this be done in FM7 like you used to be able to with FM6? I haven't used multi files since using FM7. Thank you - this makes absolute sense - you are a genius to me mate!!!!
mattlight Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 i thank you again!! God, the more I think of it the better i feel!!!!!
