November 30, 200421 yr How do I display dates > or = todays date in a portal? I have created a music schedule using 2 tables, "Music Schedule" and "Musiclineitem". I want to schedule vocalist to sing on certain dates, but I only want to display dates greater or equal to todays date. What is the best way of going about this in Filemaker 7? Thanks, Sam
December 1, 200421 yr In Music Schedule make a global date field. Make a new TO from Musiclineitem. Make a relationship from the global to the date field. Double click on the = in the relationship to get the relationship dialog box change the = to <=. (global <= date) Make a portal using this relationship. You could make that a global calculated date = Get (Current Date)
December 9, 200421 yr Author Ralph, I tried what you suggested and am still having the same problem. Would you be willing to take a look at my file that I have attached to this reply? Sam ServicePlannning.fp7.zip
December 10, 200421 yr I made 2 changes to the relationship. I changed >= to <= and removed the allow creation of related records. If you try to create a related record it will use the date in your Music Schedule table. I suggest you use a button and script to create new related records.
