I recently upgraded to FM7 from FM3. FM7 seems slower, clunkier, and has even crashed on me loosing a whole file. Now I am trying to regress back to FM3 which suits my purposes but I am having difficulty exporting the data from FM7. The fields I am trying to export are fairly large text fields. I have tried using the various formats but it either cuts the data short or it sees small segments of the text as another field.

Is there any method to do this short of cut/paste?

Are you exporting to a text file? Are you using tab or comma delimited? Is this data that was generated after the switch to 7? Do you still have the FM3 files?

How did you migrate from FM3 to FM7? You may have brought some excess baggage with you. You might be better served by making a fresh start in FM7. You are giving up a lot to go back to FM3.
