FileMaker has several APIs which are documented in the materials which ship on the FileMaker Developer media.

Then there are some third party tools which extend these capabilities in various directions (eg MCAnything and the ShellScript plug-in.

But it really depends on what you are hoping to achieve - and so far you haven't said a whole lot about that... smirk.gif
