I am having funny problem on fileMaker Pro 7 during printing.

I completed a filemaker pro database called ABC.fm7.

Then , I decided to duplicate entire ABC.fm7 and call it XYZ.fm7.

Everything work well on XYZ.fm7 but the only problem is during printing.

I am using Mac OSX. While printing XYZ.fm7 on any of the layout, I open out the printing progress to check the status. To my surprise, I read as Name ABC is printing instead of XYZ is printing.

Is that a BUG on FileMaker Pro 7 or am I able to change something on XYZ.fm7 so that I see XYZ is printing instead ABC?

From FileMaker 2.1 to FileMaker 7, I spend 3 days rewriting my 12dbs into 1 file and got this FUNNY printing or creating pdf problems. I nearly wanted to give up and intend to rewrite it again. I have learned my lesson not to duplicate FileMaker files if I do not want this problem to occur.

Anyway I have solved my printing/pdf problem. I hacked my own FileMaker file and manage rename a hidden resource fork file but I must beware. Once I make a mistake, whole file will be damaged. Even with the help of hacking my file, I can only rename it the same number of letters that was initially created.( eg ABC.fm7 can change to XYZ.fm7 but not XY.fm7 or WXYZ.fm7)

I have learned that every initial FileMaker db file created, I must choose a name wisely.

Hope this lesson will help others too.
