FM7 keeps refreshing in layout mode

Greetings,

we have recently upgraded to FM7 server and FM7 clients recently installed. I have converted the original FM6 files and all seems well apart from the following:

When in layout mode whenever I wish to edit an object, the screen refreshes up to 8 times, usually after I click on the object to be edited..this may be a txt box or field or graphic object.

Also is FM7 significantly slower than previous releases or is it jusy my FM7 crazy.gif ?

And finally, in browse mode, whenever we edit data in a portal or change from one layout containing a portal to another also containing a portal, there is a long delay, 5 secs or so, when re drawing the portal. (have tried on different machines with same "problem" occuring).
