Database size, capacity

Hi,

I would like to know what is the capacity(size) for database in filemaker 7.

The version 6 is 2meg per file.

"Databases can store up to 8 terabytes of information

I beleive that 8 terabyte limit is for each file, correct? I would have no way of actually testing that out. Few individual people would have that kind of drive capacity, but it's good to know - sounds very impressive to a potential client.

This is great especially for Multimedia type of projects, where graphics and/or video can take up a lot of space.

i would recommend against storing multimedia files directly in a filemaker database. rather store a link to the file. many people have recommended against it in the past, mainly for performance reasons
