yung Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 My boss asked me if this was possible on filemaker. I responded by saying I don't know, I'll have to do some research. Now I'm posing the question here. He basically wants to measure the amount of emails sent to particular email accounts. He wants that total and auto-updated into fields in the filemaker database we currently have. A couple of complications, one is that our email server is not the same company as our filemaker hosting company. I assuming this must be some type of parsing program to look at the email and appropriately increment a variable. This variable must be linked to filemaker somehow to create automation. -Some questions Is this even possible? Can this be done using a server-side programming language like perl? Can this be automated by integrating filemaker and the mail-count program? I appreciate any feedback or help. Thanks!
