Newbies DMHamm Posted January 7, 2006 Newbies Posted January 7, 2006 I have promised a friend that I would help her with a database to collect information for an education seminar she is managing. The problem is that I don't have the time or expertise to do it! Does anybody know where I could pick up a simple database that would: 1. Retrieve web-form emails from an email server. 2. Insert data from those web-form emails into separate records in the database. 3. Provide some simple reports on who will be attending, from what school, for what days, etc. As I said, this is for an education seminar so there is no budget to buy a solution. Any help? Thank you!
Pat Monks Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I don't know the complete scope of your project, so I can't be sure if this is a good suggestion, but you might at least consider using Instant Web Publishing to have users directly enter the data into your data base. This might prevent you from having to parse out the email replies and re-enter the data.
Lee Smith Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Not sure if this will help you at all, but here is a file that is FREE and is used for DevCon each year. Credits go to [color:blue]Lynne Bradford, who started this file. and Wim Decorte and Connecting Data for continuing this in her memory. Here Lee
