gareece Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) Is it possible to get FM7 working properly under Vista? I am assuming it is not compatible. I have installed FM Developer 7 and it repeatedly tells me that it cannot initialize the network stack (whatever that means). This seems to be the cause of the problems because I am trying to connect to FM7 Server with no luck at all. It also cannot find the file on the FM7 Server but will load it when the file is stored locally. By the way it worked once (the first time) and then stopped working. I have re-installed Vista twice (because System Restore doesn't work) and both times it worked the 1st time and then returned to the problem. At the moment Windows FireWall is OFF and I don't have any 2rd party protection installed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Edited November 1, 2007 by Guest
Vaughan Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I don't think FMP 7 *ever* worked properly. In any operating system. ;( OK I'm exaggerating, but not by much. It had lots of problems that were fixed in 8.0 and 8.5. I think FMP 8.5v2 is the oldest version certified for Vista.
