Progress Bar - Coffee icon?

I have a file with about 1000 records. Upon going to certain layouts I get that hour glass icon while the records are being sorted... Also while opening the file or updating records via script I get a coffee icon.

Could those be replaced with a progress bar?

No idea about this, or how to go about it if possible.

The coffee cup indicates that FMP is held up while it gets data through the network from FMS. There is no way to replace this with a progress bar.

Do these layouts have portals on them? If so, the relationship or portal is set to sort the records, and there are a lot of records...

Yes, exactly. They are set to sort the records. There are no problems with the wait, just wandered if hour-glass icon could be replaced with a better looking thing like a nice progress bar. If not, then no problems, it works good without it.

I dont think this would solve the Coffee cup issue though.

Yes, I checked more and as far as I could find the coffee cup can not be replaced. I might however use the progress bar for sorting purposes...
