I just got a new MacBook Pro which has OS X 10.8.2 and is running Java 7.  I moved all of my applications from my old MacBook to this new one including the FMS11Admin Console.

The FileMaker Server 11 software is on our Mac Server running OS X 10.6.8 and the FileMaker Server 11 version is 11.0.4.404. I can use the FMS11 Admin Console on the server just fine.  However, when I try to start the Admin Console from my MacBook Pro I get the error " you need to download the Java Runtime Environment for Web Start applications".  I downloaded Java 7 but this did not help.

I read online that installing Java 7 was one resolution to this problem.  What am I doing wrong?  Is there something else I can try?

Thanks for any help someone can give me.

Susie
